Why blog?

In response to Rachel Boyd’s blog Wow, it’s been a while…, if it’s hard to justify or find the time to spend blogging, why on earth do people bother trying to find time to do this?

Well… blogging is not only a way of sharing your own ideas, but also commenting or responding on other people’s. This being my first blog, I am just getting to know ‘edublog’, but believe it to be quite a beneficial tool for teachers and students to use.

As I have seen, the blogging tool allows teachers to link to other places like websites, and for other people to be able to view this with ease. Blogging gives students opportunities to react to other people’s thoughts -which helps them become opinionated… and also to write about class activities -like a diary… This may be useful if a guest speaker comes to talk to the class, for the students to respond with what they learnt and maybe any questions they have. This is where other students can make blogging comments or blogs in reactions to this, hopefully giving some degree of clarification.

Over and out….. for now
